Field recordings settle naturally beneath a single held drone on Weightless, an organic ambient album from Valencia-based composer Rest in Clouds. Across seven tracks, sparse piano lines and slowly shifting synth pads move over unchanging chords, joined by birdsong, crickets, rain and running water gathered during the artist’s travels. Each piece favours a single sustained idea over conventional development, holding one tone in place while small variations accumulate around it. The result is patient, tactile music that leavers room for listeners to discover more from less.
