Sun Echo – By the Mountainside

Birdsong and a nearby stream rise beneath slow-cycling strings and synth pads as dawn conjures itself, unhurried. Sun Echo‘s By the Mountainside draws on field recordings gathered at sunrise during the artist’s summer camping trips, weaving crickets, birds, and flowing water through four tracks of organic ambient that trace an arc from waking to arrival. Cello, viola, violin, celeste, and flute thread through gradually building layers, while chords shift and resolve like a river rounding an unseen bend. What begins in stillness settles, by the close, into a quiet sense of comfort and wonder, a wordless narrative told with remarkable economy and grace.
